In animal transport, the globally mandated closed transport vehicles are intended to prevent the spread of diseases or viruses.
PROCESS
To ensure that the animals – in this case either 800 piglets or 80 large breeding boars – receiving oxygen and climate control during transport do not become infected, the supply air is treated through a VIROBUSTER® system. This also prevents contamination from airborne pathogens when the vehicles come near slaughter animals, e.g., on highways or farms.
ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY
For viruses such as African swine fever (PPR virus), VIROBUSTER® UV-C systems are the first choice. Additional advantages over filter-based systems: the system can be safely switched on and off, continuous operation is not required. Moreover, trailers equipped accordingly can cross borders into protection or quarantine zones without regulatory restrictions.
